Hi I'm Chel Wong!
I'm an award-winning freelance composer for video games! In addition I'm also the Founder of Producer of The Charity EP Jam, a former Organizer of Game Audio Boston, and the Head Curator of Audio for BostonFIG.
I'm also a recording bass trombonist and low brass player with 2 decades of performing experience. I regularly collect weird instruments and record them for my work. Besides music and video games I am a proud advocate for queer, POC, and disability rights, and I'm also passionate about balisong flipping (butterfly knives) anime, martial arts, education, and 🍞.
Before composing, I conducted an orchestra dedicated to performing video game music. You can find the videos of these recordings for Chrono Cross and Undertale, the latter of which has over 800k views!
Also I used to compete in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and am formlerly the #1 solo K Rool main in MA.
And I have won very small tournaments for Guilty Gear Strive. Look I just really love fighting games.
I make games sound really good.
Through my services, I make games emotionally meaningful, memorable, and provide a new layer of polish. I work closely with you to design a custom audio palette from the ground up.
